Policy Reform

In line with our emphasis on country-led efforts, we support governments to secure tailored technical assistance (TA) to build out recommendations for needed policy and regulatory reform. We work through multi-stakeholder mechanisms in each country to develop a dialogue on the type of activities that would accelerate delivery of national SDG 6.2 strategies and complement the work of other development partners with the aim of creating a sustainable sanitation economy and thriving MHH market.

Alongside national and subnational efforts on enabling environments, we are also supporting global sector and standards development. All of these efforts are with a view to ensure all people everywhere can exercise their choice and agency and access safe, quality and affordable sanitation, hygiene and menstrual products and services.
