Our theory of change explains how SHF technical assistance and catalytic grant funding lead to outputs, outcomes and impact. Each investment is associated with a broad range of benefits, with progress tracked by the ten key performance indicators.

Country-level progress towards reaching KPI results targets indicates that sanitation, hygiene and MHH markets are active, and achieving coverage and impact with a focus on economic growth, system transformation, and real, meaningful and lasting change. In addition to progress towards SDG 6, investing in access to sanitation, hygiene and MHH drives impact across a broad range of development areas including SDG 3, 4, 5, 8 and 13.
